چکیده
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is widely used in various fields both daily life and industry owing to its excellent photoelectric properties induced superwettability. Over the past several decades, methods have been reported improve wettability of TiO2 plenty practical applications developed. The TiO2-derived materials with different morphologies display a variety functions including photocatalysis, self-cleaning, oil-water separation, etc. Herein, superwettability are summarized described sections. First, brief introduction about discovery photoelectrodes made revealed. ultra-fast spreading behaviors on shown part controllable introduces their related applications. Recent developments interfacial photocatalysis photoelectrochemical reactions presented reactions. nanochannels for ion rectification describes transportation based materials. In final section, conclusion future outlook shown.

Graphite / Titanium Dioxide Composite
Nanosized titanium dioxide (TiO2) in its anatase form is the most frequently studied and as well as used photocatalyst. There are several syntheses procedures which enable to achieve photocatalytic TiO2. The solgel method utilizing titanium alkoxides is used most often. Alternative precursors such as titanium tetrachloride and titanyl sulphate are also frequently employed. Nowadays the environm...
متن کاملAchieving Stable Results with Titanium Dioxide
Titanium dioxide has been a favored high index material by some, but it appears to be less popular with others because of difficulties in obtaining a stable result. We discuss what we think is the root of the problem and how it may be rectified. The need to have negligible absorption places a lower limit on the background oxygen pressure and some constraints on temperature and deposition rate. ...
متن کاملTitanium Dioxide in Sunscreen
Titanium dioxide has been used in various industrial and cosmetic applications due to its unique elemental properties. This substance has a refractive index higher than most other compounds (n = 2.6142, in comparison to water at 20°C n = 1.33). This allows titanium dioxide to have an iridescent and bright quality. It has been used in the cosmetics industry for “whitening” and “thickening” in mu...
متن کاملCarcinogenicity Assessment of Titanium Dioxide
Introduction Titanium dioxide is a white mineral that is used to color paints, plastics, paper and other materials and is approved by the FDA as both a direct (with restricted uses) and indirect food additive. It is a non-genotoxic poorly soluble particulate. As such it has been found to not cause cancer by various routes in a number of animal models except for the rat. Titanium dioxide, as wit...
